Maghull & District Community of Schools

MADCOS (Maghull And District Community Of Schools) is a partnership of schools which has been working together since 1999.

There are currently 18 schools in the group and MADCOS head teachers have been meeting regularly for 15 years with the sole aim of improving the education and life chances of local children.

Children and young people across the partnership benefit from a wide range of shared projects and exciting initiatives. Common transition arrangements ensure that all our children move smoothly from primary to secondary school.

MADCOS curriculum groups provide an opportunity for teachers at every level and in every school to discuss educational issues which are relevant to them. In this way MADCOS is becoming a vibrant, active community of staff Professional Development.

The HOLY ROSARY TEACHING SCHOOL ALLIANCE was born out of the MADCOS partnership and ensures that we are at the forefront of educational practice.
